한국어 English 日本語

Entering a Korean address on Amazon requires converting it to English first. Korean addresses run in reverse order compared to Western addresses, so each field needs careful attention.

Step 1. Convert to English

Use the Korean address converter to convert your Korean address. Search by road name, lot number, or building name, then copy the Amazon-formatted result.

Step 2. Fill in each field

FAQ

Should the name match my passport?

Yes — use your passport English name for customs clearance.

What if there's no Address Line 2?

Add the unit to Address Line 1: 123 Teheran-ro, Apt 101-1502.

Do I need a personal customs code (PCCC)?

For Amazon Global direct shipping, a PCCC (P + 12 digits) may be required at Korean customs.

The Korean address converter automatically splits your address into Amazon's fields.

Field-by-field, with a worked example

Say the Korean address is "서울특별시 강남구 테헤란로 152, 101동 1502호." On Amazon that becomes: Address Line 1 — 152 Teheran-ro; Address Line 2 — Apt 101-1502; City — Gangnam-gu; State/Province — Seoul; ZIP — 06236; Country — South Korea. The one rule people trip on: State is the bigger unit. Seoul, Busan, and provinces like Gyeonggi-do go in State; the district (-gu) goes in City.

Phone and name

Use the international format +82 10-XXXX-XXXX, dropping the leading zero. Write the recipient's name in Roman letters exactly as it appears on their passport if they have one — couriers and customs match the name against ID, and a different spelling can hold a parcel at the door.

When the seller won't ship to Korea

Some listings only ship domestically within the US. The workaround is a forwarding service: register the forwarder's US warehouse as your Amazon address, and they relay the parcel to Korea. Copy the warehouse address character for character, including the suite or member code — that code is how the warehouse knows the package is yours.

Import fees

For international checkout, Amazon typically collects an import-fees deposit at payment and refunds any difference if the actual charge comes in lower. If you want to estimate Korean duty and VAT before ordering, the customs calculator (Korean UI) gives a quick figure from the item price and shipping cost.
